LOCK HAVEN — Where were you on 9/11?

Many of us remember that day. Even if you hadn’t been born yet, you recognize that date.

The 9/11 terrorist attacks struck American hearts with fear, uncertainty, horror. We were at war.

Countless wishes and prayers for peace and healing have been offered over the past 21 years as we remember victims, families, first-responder heroes, and our troops.

You are invited to be part of a peaceful response to the tragedies of 9/11 this Sunday evening, Sept. 11, when Angel Lights luminaries will be lit in Triangle Park.

You can still sponsor your own Angel Light. Visit the store The Bus Stops Here at 115 E. Main St., Lock Haven, or stop by Triangle Park on Sunday where the luminaries will be sold from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Angel Lights are $5 each. You may decorate and personalize your luminary bag.

On Sunday, as dusk falls, the candle in each white bag will be lit, and Angel Lights will shine together against the darkness for hours, until the candles begin to go out.

Angel Lights are a project of the Rotary Club of Downtown Lock Haven. Proceeds go to local good causes.
