Hearing a bee buzz around your ear can be startling and even scary for some people. Having one land on your clothes or skin is even more frightening. But these bees are so vital to nature, and the honey they make is so sweet and delicious.

The beekeepers at Marie’s Bees care deeply about the bees under their supervision, and they work alongside those bees to produce and distribute honey to those who want a sweet treat in their food and drinks.

We recently went up to Bellingham to see the bees in action and to get a little taste of the honey ourselves. That’s a bit of a trek, so we wanted to choose a vehicle that could handle the mileage and hold a lot of honey on our return trip. When it came time to start driving, the easy decision was the 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro.

This Tacoma TRD Pro vehicle looks just as powerful as it is, with available 16-in. TRD Pro black alloy wheels, a large but practical frame, available TRD Pro cat-back exhaust, available TRD Pro skid plates, a color-keyed tailgate spoiler, and plenty of other TRD Pro details that show everybody how capable your vehicle is of handling all kinds of roads and trails.

Equipped with TRD-tuned FOX Internal Bypass shocks coil-overs and rear remote reservoir shocks, available 1.5-inch front lift suspension and 0.5-inch rear lift suspension, the Tacoma can handle several types of terrain with standard features like Electronically Locking Rear Differential, Crawl Control (CRAWL), Multi-Terrain Select (MTS), and Multi-Terrain Monitor (MTM) with camera. These features allow you to adjust to slippery, uneven, and hilly roads (sometimes automatically) so you can focus on your speed and your surroundings instead.

If you encounter low visibility, plunge forward with available LED headlights with sequential turn signals, available Daytime Running Lights (DRL), and available Rigid Industries fog lights on the Tacoma TRD Pro.

Depending on the engine model and tow package you choose, you can haul up to an available 6,800 pounds behind the Tacoma. The available Trailer-Sway Control (TSC) feature keeps what you're towing locked down on the road with braking assistance and engine torque management. A standard deck rail system securely ties down your cargo in the TRD-stamped truck bed.

Modern meets rugged with available remote keyless entry, powered by a Smart Key System and Push Button Start, that allows you to lock and unlock the doors and start the Tacoma with the keys in your pocket. The Tacoma seats up to five people and has two sets of doors so everyone can pile in quickly. Stay comfortable with available black TRD Pro leather-trimmed front seats. Jam out, listen to podcasts, and get help finding your destination with available premium JBL audio with Dynamic Navigation and an available 8-in. touchscreen that connects to Apple CarPlay, Android Auto™, and Amazon Alexa.

Every Toyota Tacoma comes with standard Toyota Safety Sense P, which is designed to give drivers active safety features that help protect you and your passengers detect potential obstacles and threats. In addition to the Toyota Safety Sense P package, the available Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert receives signals about vehicles approaching on the side or behind you, and the available Integrated Backup Camera with Rear Parking Sonar helps you reverse into parking spaces without hitting obstacles.
