Aqara has launched the new D100 Zigbee smart door lock in Singapore, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE). The fully-automatic mortise lock is compatible with Apple HomeKit, including Home Key, which allows you to unlock your door with an iPhone or Apple Watch.

Plus, the gadget supports Google Assistant and Siri, allowing you to control the lock with voice commands. Alternatively, you can unlock your door using the built-in 3D fingerprint scanner, an invisible keypad and password, or NFC cards which come with the lock.

A mechanical key is also provided in case the electronics fail. Compared to Aqara’s other smart door locks, the D100 Zigbee is suitable for a broader range of doors. The device will work with doors from 40 to 120 mm (~1.6 to 4.7-in) thick and with pull handle fittings.

The gadget has a detachable 2,480 mAh battery with a 12-month lifetime. You can recharge the power pack via USB-C. Features of the smart door lock include auto-locking once the door is closed and an open door alert triggered after 10 s.

The Aqara smart door lock supports Bluetooth 5.0 and Zigbee 3.0, allowing you to connect the device to other smart home gadgets. You can now buy the D100 Zigbee smart door lock in the countries listed above for SG$679 (~US$493). Over the next few months, the gadget is also expected to land in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Kazakhstan and Nigeria.
